The impact of legacy training tools and techniques on productivity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A common challenge for trainers is keeping employees engaged. Many organizations use legacy technology tools or techniques that employees find boring, which leads to diminished learning and productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before the pandemic, an employee would attend training onsite and sit through 8-hour sessions, often for a couple of days. Since the pandemic, training sessions have been online, and employees have been responsible for managing their learning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With outdated technology and lack of guidance, employees struggle to connect the value of training to their everyday work. If an employee can\u2019t understand the impact the training has on tasks, the worker will be less likely to apply the knowledge and won\u2019t see an increase in productivity. Then, the time spent training was an additional loss of productivity for the employee and the organization. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Growth and development programs should have a direct correlation to workplace activities. And because of the increase in hybrid work, organizations should optimize training to accommodate the remote and hybrid workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
